Strawberry Field in four-frames

I put a post on our Photography blog recently about the fun of shooting with a toy film camera – Supersampler, with a lot of photos. Here is my Supersampler, her name is Olivia (Olivia: “Hi!”).

IMG_1076Olivia the Supersampler is not broken. The black tape is there because of the light leaks – a part of the fun of a toy camera. You know people use Instagram or Photoshop to add “light leaks effect” on photos sometimes? Olivia does it all for me even before the film is developed! OK OK I know the effect causes by the light leaks is entirely out of my control – that’s why I taped it: so the light leaks is not over the top… But for me, it’s more of a surprise than a worry.

Can you see the four “eyes”? It takes four photos in sequence in 2 second time (or 0.2 second depend on your setting). One more special thing about it: its film advancing is not a lever, it’s a string! Fun, isn’t it!

Here are some photos I took at a friend’s hen party a while ago. We were picking strawberries. You can just tell how much fun we had and how lovely a day that was.

Here‘re more information about the Supersampler and some photos I took of a friend when were walking along Liverpool coast. I’m sure you’ll find them interesting. Enjoy!!
