April in Japan

We just had a lovely two weeks in Japan, came back and can’t wait to share with you what we saw, ate and did. Here are a few quick photos before I sort out hundreds of photos in our cameras and tell you more stories later.

You probably recognise this one? From Memoirs of a Geisha?

There are many beautiful mountains and rivers in and around Kyoto.

We reached over 2000 meters altitude in this cool double decker cable car but it was too cloudy to see anything, apart from snow walls.

Lots and lots of fresh seafood and vegetables in local markets.

I was very surprised and impressed by the wild birds in Kyoto. This big thing stood on a railing in the middle of the road early morning, about five meters away from us, about five minutes walk away from Kyoto Station.

Hope you enjoyed it so far. More stories to come!
